Clinical Supervision
I am a lifelong learner who is committed to the advancement of the field and to the development of mental health professionals.
I understand what it means to be a clinician who is called to serve multiple roles within an organization as well as a Director who holds them accountable to the work.
Organizations like yours are here to meet the complex needs of our fellow human beings. To do so, you must continue to stay current in your knowledge of best practices, ethical decision-making, and clinical competency, while holding care for the caregiver not only as a spoken value, but as an actionable practice.
This starts with excellent workplace coaching and clinical supervision. With 30 years as a social worker and 12 years as a professional certified coach, I have built my business around providing that to organizations like yours.
Why outsource clinical supervision?
- Without the fear of clinical questions being tied to job performance, clinicians are able to freely explore topics like countertransference, secondary trauma responses, and their own shadow work. I create a safe space for that exploration.
- The paradox of excellent clinical supervision is that it must be both client-centered and focused on the clinician. Creating this balance, without turning supervision into personal therapy or a time to vent is my superpower.
- Complex organizations likely justify the hire of a skilled grant-writer, strategist, and/or visionary to lead a team or organization, making the hire of senior clinicians with depth and breadth of experience cost prohibitive. This ultimately costs the organization in staff turnover, staff development, and their ability to competently serve clients.
Christina's broad range of expertise, including substance use, LGBTQ issues, and personality structure, make her an incredibly adaptable supervisor. She continually focuses on humanity, creativity, and the individuality of the client, as well as my own role as a human in a helping role.
TG, LMHC in private practice
Christina has a very warm and comforting supervision style. I felt open to telling her my insecurities as a clinician and knew I would not be judged. I always knew she would use what I brought to her to help me grow professionally.
